TLC MOURNS LOSS OF BELOVED FRIEND & VOLUNTEER

On Sunday afternoon, September 4th, our dear friend and dedicated TLC Volunteer, Marianne Annibali was hit by a car while jogging.  The accident happened on Walden Ave in Depew and she died instantly.  Her death has left a big hole in all of our hearts and she will be greatly missed.

Several years ago, Marianne and her husband Rich, adopted a TLC Cat named Tucker.  When Marianne saw an opportunity to volunteer at our Pet Supply Plus location on Union Road, she joined our TLC family.  She always brought along her 14 year daughter Marirose.

Marianne then started fostering and was seldom without a Mom and kittens at their home.  As if that was not enough, She also cleaned Friday nights at Petsmart after learning we were very short handed.

Marianne and Rich also volunteered for a Greyhound rescue group. She certainly shared the love and compassion for animals with her family. She ran five miles every day, rain or shine.  On her run, she always stopped by Marianne McPherson’s house to chat about her fosters. Dorine, who also lives in the neighborhood, would frequently see her running down Walden Ave.

Marianne said she needed to run every day so she would stay healthy. She wanted to be around a long time to watch her daughter grow up, get married and maybe someday enjoy a house full of grand kids. 

Marianne worked at Sisters Hospital where she also had many friends. She was married to her husband Rich for 34 years and her daughter Marirose will celebrate her 15th Birthday next week.

This is such a tragedy for her family and ours here at Ten Lives.  We know she is surrounded by numerous animals up at Rainbow Bridge but things will never be the same for those of us she left behind.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to help set up on Friday evening (May 15) anytime after 5pm. Extra help during the event on Saturday & Sunday between 10am & 5pm is also desperately needed! Any volunteers who have taken the TLC Adoption Workshop or are already qualified to approve adoptions would be extremely helpful!

TRANSPORTERS NEEDED - 5 cats need a ride from our TLC main shelter at 3741 Lake Shore Rd. in Blasdell to PetSmart on Walden Ave. on Saturday morning prior to the event (9:30AM).  Any cats who may not get adopted need a ride back to the TLC shelter after the event on Sunday (5PM).

TO VOLUNTEER or TRANSPORT on either day - Saturday (May 16) or Sunday (May 17) - ANY TIME between 10AM & 5PM on either day, please CALL ALLISON at 716-646-5577, ext. 101 TODAY!

The Ten Lives Club adoption location at PetSmart on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga, NY will be participating in the PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend beginning Friday, November 14 through Sunday, November 16.  

It's a wonderful opportunity to showcase, promote - and most importantly - FIND FOREVER HOMES for our kitties!  

Friday & Saturday - November 14 & 15th 

11am to 8pm

Sunday, November 16

11am to 5pm

TLC NEEDS VOLUNTEERS to make this adoption event a SUCCESS!  

 THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO HELP!

• Transport kitties from TLC's main shelter located at 3741 Lake Shore Drive, Blasdell, NY  14219 on Friday, November 14 by 11am
•  Help set up/break down tables, cages, flyers, etc. before/after the event
• Man tables during the event - showing the kitties, answering questions, promoting TLC, selling items & raffle tickets during any day/time(s)
• Process adoptions during the event - TRAINING PROVIDED!
• Make/provide items to sell or donate items for basket raffles
• Transport kitties back to shelter on Sunday, November 16th after event ends at 5pm from PetSmart at 1734 Walden Avenue, Cheektowaga, NY
